The shopping list for the average wedding is long. Graag willen, debilitatingly long. IWhen you start planning, you’ll think to yourself things like, "Oh, our budget looks great. My dress may even be less than that. We can totally shop around for vases and save money. We’ve got this.” Then, often, you’ll be somewhere in the messy middle of wedding planning and look around your dining room or office space and realize, “Crap. We’ve really gotten out of control here.”
Professionally, when I’ve helped folks make wedding budgets, I’ve tried to include a buffer for this exact issue. But when it came to my own wedding, I have to let you in on a little secret… if something was going to be used/worn forever (ahum, bruiloft accessoires)… I didn’t always count it against my budget. I mean… wedding bands? Those are forever. Shoes or jewelry that is likely to be worn regularly? That feels a little different than my floral budget, which was only going to be enjoyed for one day (albeit… deeply enjoyed).
If you’re more of a record-every-dollar person, that’s okay too. I just think that if we can stretch our wedding purchases and budget to last a lifetime, we should. Zo, we’ve rounded up a whole bunch of wedding accessories that you’ll (werkelijk) wear forever. Now let’s get to it!
